Student Participation

NAFIPS'05

Student participation in NAFIPS 2005 is highly encouraged, be it submitting and presenting a paper, attending the conference, or volunteering at the conference. There are a number of opportunities to support student involvement in the conference.

Student Registration Fee REDUCED!

We offer 50% off the regular registration fee for students. This covers all technical activities and CD version of conference proceedings, but excludes the banquet and registration package. To be qualified for the registration at this reduced fee, a proof of student status will be required. All undergraduate and graduate students are eligible for this reduced rate. STUDENT REGISTRATION FEE WILL BE REIMBURSED UPON ATTENDING THE CONFERENCE.

Student Paper AWARDS!

NAFIPS and the Program Committee of NAFIPS 2005 announce the BEST STUDENT PAPER competition. The student authors of the five best papers will be awarded US$100.00 each at the conference. To be eligible, the student must be the first author on this paper. The best papers will be selected by the Program Committee prior to the conference, and these papers will be presented at a special session during the conference. The student author of the best paper (based on both the written submission and the oral presentation, to be selected during this session) will receive an additional award of US$500.00.
